Top terrorist killed in Narsingdi ‘gunfight’
A top terrorist was killed in a reported gunfight with Detective Branch of police in Madhabdi pourashava of Narsingdi.

The gun battle took place at Tatapara area of Madhabdi town on Friday night (August 30).

The deceased was-- named as Awlad Hossen Mithun, 35, son of Jakir Hossen—was a resident of the aforementioned area.

Police also detained three accomplices of Mithun.

DB police later recovered two foreign pistols, a pipe gun and eight rounds of bullets from the scene.

Mithun was a listed drug dealer and a arms seller. On secret information, he was detained from Kanchan area of Narayanganj. With information obtained from, DB police launched a drive along with him to recover arms, but his accomplices opened fire on police and he became injured from his accomplice’s bullet. Later, he was declared dead at Narsingdi District Hospital, Abdul Gaffar, sub inspector of Narsingdi district DB police, told media.
