Journo's son dies in Badda AC explosion
Shawpnil Ahmed Pias, 24, son of senior journalist Moazzem Hossain Nanu, died in an Air Conditioner (AC) blast at his Badda residence on Wednesday night.
Dhaka Medical College Hsopital (DMCH) sources said, Pias, a student of private university, suffered severe burn injuries after an AC exploded their Aftab Nagar house at night.
Moazzem Hossain, former general secretary of Crime Reporters Association, and his wife also fell sick due to flame caused by the fire.
The trio were brought to the DMCH where the on-duty doctor pronounced Pias dead.
The body was kept at the hospital morgue.
