Students stage demo wearing black clothes
Dhaka University (DU) students on Tuesday staged demonstration bringing out silent processions on the campus.
As part of the protest, the agitating students brought out the processions this morning wearing black clothes on their faces.
They also tied black clothes on the eyes of the Raju Sculptures as a sign of protest.
Hundreds of students gathered at the foot of Raju Sculpture holding different placards seeking justice for their fellow who was allegedly raped in Dhaka's Kurmitola area on Sunday night.
The general students are drawing pictures in front of Rokeya Hall protesting the heinous incident.
They are also chanting slogans to arrest the rapist soon and to give him capital punishment.
A second year student of the DU was allegedly raped and tortured in the area on Sunday night, just after she got down from the university bus.
Following the incident, the victim's father lodged a case with Cantonment Police Station.
