Khasru new SCBA president, Kazal gen secy
Pro-Awami League White Panel applicant Advocate Abdul Matin Khasru has got been elected president even though pro-BNP Blue Panel candidate Ruhul Quddus Kazal elected basic secretary found in the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) election.
In the election, the White Panel bagged eight out of 14 posts, as the Blue Panel clinched six articles.
The polls began at 10:00am on Wednesday and concluded at 5:00pm on Thursday.
A seven-member sub-committee, led by former Justice AFM Abdur Rahman, conducted the election.
This year, a complete of 5,676 voters, out of 7,721, cast their votes in the election.
Several 51 individuals contested the polls for 14 posts.
