Swadhinata Parishad announces panel for BGMEA election
Md Zahangir Alam, convener of Swadhinata Parishad, yesterday announced the labels of directors of his panel that may be a part of the approaching biennial election of Bangladesh Garment Producers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
The election is scheduled to be held on April 4 this season to elect the leaders of the trade body for the tenure of 2021-22. Alam explained he has already announced the entire panel of 26 directors for Dhaka area and soon he'll announce the labels of nine directors for the Chattogram location.
The leaders of the panel were introduced at a press conference at Sonargaon Resort in Dhaka.
At the introduction getting together with, Alam as well announced his six-level manifesto. He'll particularly work to keep the safety specifications of small and moderate enterprises of the garment sector if he's elected as the president of the BGMEA, Alam stated in his manifesto.
He said he'll also open another wing for ready-made garment overseas for increased export of outfits items.
Two various other panels, including Sammilito Parishad led Faruque Hassan, a former vice-president of BGMEA, and ABM Shamsuddin, who's also a former BGMEA vice-president, are as well competing in the election from the Forum panel.
