RMG personnel block Mirpur Road
Readymade garment (RMG) staff blocked Mirpur road in the administrative centre on Tuesday, demanding salaries and full bonus.
A fe hundreds workers of a factory of Opex Group in Section 13 blocked the street around 9am and staged demonstration.
The RMG personnel also demonstrated on Monday for the same demand.
An employee alleged that they received only half salaries with no bonus.
"The other garment owners gave cent percent bonus to its workers. But, our owner told us to provide only half bonus. We also want the full bonus," said the worker.
Kafrul police OC Selim Jaman said police want to calm down the personnel for not creating any violence.
"The are demonstrating for full bonus. We informed the factory owner and the BGMEA about the problem.
