House owner held in Dhanmondi for ousting tenant
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested a residence owner who earlier ousted one of her tenant with the family.
RAB-2 Maj HM Parvez Arefin said a team of the elite force arrested owner Nur Akhter Shompa from a road in city's Dhanmondi area on Tuesday night.
A case was filed against Shampa, the RAB official said.
On April 19, Shampa ousted her tenant Salim, works at a shop, with his wife and three children including a new baby baby as he didn't pay a month rent. He rented the first floor of the house six months ago.
Salim didn't pay the rent as his shop is closed following countrywide lockdown.
They requested the dog owner to give them a while but Shampa did not pay heed onto it.
