7 killed in Teknaf gunfight
At least seven suspected Rohingya robbers were killed in a reported gunfight with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar early Monday.
RAB claimed that the deceased were the members of ‘Jockey Gang’.
The identities of the deceased cannot be known immediately.
RAB-15 company commander Mirza Shahed Mahtab said a team of elite force conducted a drive in Jadimura Mochni Rohingya Camp at early hours.
Sensing the existence of the team, the gang opened fire on the team which continued all night.
Later, the associates recovered the body of seven from the location.
