Robber killed in Jashore 'gunfight'
A suspected robber was killed in a reported gunfight with police at Begaritola area of Monirampur upazila in Jashore in early stages Friday (February 28).
The deceased was--- identified as Nurul Hoque alias Keru-a resident of Vojgati village of the upazila.
“Nurul Hoque was detained by the locals while hijacking an auto rickshaw at Chingra area under Keshabpur upazila on Thursday noon. Nurul is a listed terrorist. He's accused in 10 robbery cases. Besides, he is also accused within an arms case,” Jashim Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Keshabpur Police Station, told Banglanews.
Dead body was delivered to 250-bed general hospital’s morgue, OC said.
