'Gunfight' kills one in Tongi
A suspected drug seller was killed in a reported 'gunfight' with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Gazipur's Tongi on Monday night.
Deceased Rokon Sikder, 33, was the most notable drug dealer on the region, the RAB explained, adding that he was also an accused of above 20 cases, the RAB informed.
RAB legal and media wing's assistant director ANM Imran Khan said functioning on a top secret information a gang of medicine peddler was selling prescription drugs, a team of the elite force conducted a travel in Hazi Majar Bosti area at about 11: 30.
Sensing occurrence of the crew, the gang members opened up fire about them, forcing the RAB employees to fire rear that triggered a shootout.
Rokon was caught found in the type of fire.
A foreign-built gun, magazine, bullets and Yaba tablets were recovered from the picture.
The body was delivered to Shaheed Tazuddin Ahmad Medical University and Hospital
