Pallabi murder: Another accused Monir killed in 'gunfight'
Another accused on a circumstance of murdering a guy before his son on Dhaka's Pallabi area was killed on a reported gunfight with detectives early on Sunday.

Deceased Md Monir was No. six accused in the event, Md Saiful, more deputy law enforcement commissioner of Detective Branch of police's Mirpur zonal staff, told mass media on Sunday morning.

Monir was first critically injured during a gunfight with the people of the DB in Shagufta Housing area in about 2:30am. He was rushed to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical University and Hospital where in fact the on-duty doctors decleared him lifeless.

Two extra policemen were as well injured.

Pallabi Police Station SI Bulbul said, "One of our a group is staying at the hospital to learn more."

On May 16, Sahin Uddin was hacked to death in front of his six-year-old son in the garage at Block- D in Pallabi over a area dispute.

On the next day, Shahin's mother Aklima Begum lodged a case with the police station in this connection.

The other accused are former Laxmipur MP MA Awal, former BCL head Suman, Md Abu Taher, Murad, Monir, Shafique, Titu, Kamrul, Kibria, Dipu, Abdur Razzak, Moron Ali, Liton, Abul, Baitta Babu, Boro Shafique, Kalu alias Kala Babu, Nata Sumon, and Yaba Babu.

Accused Md Manik was as well killed in shootout that took place early Friday.
