AL's Shaheen Chaklader, Sahadara Mannan win Jashore-6, Bogura-1 by-polls
Results of the by-elections in Jashore-6 and Bogura-1 constituencies of Jaytiya Sangsad have been declared.
Awami League nominated individuals were unofficially elected in both constituencies.
Of these, Awami League nominated prospect Shaheen Chaklader from Jashore-6 (Keshabpur) constituency has received 1,24,003 votes with 'Boat' symbol, while Awami League prospect Sahadara Mannan from Bogura-1 (Sariakandi-Sonatola) constituency has bagged 1,45,966 votes.
Voting at both constituencies ended with no untoward incident amid coronavirus pandemic. The voters cast their ballots from 9:00am to 5:00pm following health guidelines.
The results were unofficially declared after counting of votes during the night at both constituencies.
