3 more die of dengue in Dhaka, Barishal
Four more people, including the wife of a deputy secretary, died of mosquito-borne dengue in Dhaka and Barishal on Tuesday.

Of the dead, Farzana Hossain, wife of Dr Nurul Amin, deputy secretary of Health Economics Unit at Health and Family Welfare Ministry, died on Tuesday morning at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the hospital assistant director Dr Nasir Uddin confirmed the matter.

She was taken to the hospital on Monday night and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of DMCH.

Liton Hawlader, 25, from Patuakhali, was also brought to the hospital on July 27 with dengue fever. He died around 10:15am. 

With this, nine people have, so far, died of dengue fever at the DMCH. Among them, six were woman.    

Meanwhile, Aslam Khan, 24, son of Nasir Khan, was admitted to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital on Monday night with dengue fever anddied around 3:15am, said Dr Bakir Hossain, director of the hospital.

Another patient Mohammad Sohel, 18, son of Adam Ali, hailed from Pirojpur, was also taken to the hospital on Monday with dengue fever. He lost his battle to the dengue around 9am, Dr Bakir said.
