BCC pays 4.366 cr as pension, gratuity to retired staff
Barishal City Corporation (BCC) authorities distributed Tk 4.366 core among its retired staff as pension and gratuity on Saturday night.
BCC Mayor Serniabat Sadik Abdullah gave this amount among 39 regular staff who got retired from 2005 to 2019.
Deputy Commissioner SM Ajiar Rahman was present in the cheque distribution programme as special guest. The programme was arranged at BCC Mayor's residence on the city’s Kali Bari Road.
“There is no previous record of giving such amount from BCC to their retired staff. We are grateful to mayor for giving us our pension and gratuity money,” said Abul Hossain, one of the retied staff of BCC.
BCC mayor said, “BCC will pay all of dues, and we already have paid following this plan.”
