Uttara highway digging: DNCC data files GD against Dhaka Wasa
The Dhaka North City Organization (DNCC) has filed an over-all diary (GD) contrary to the Dhaka Water and Sewerage Power (WASA) for digging roads without prior permission from it.
Solaiman Kabir of the Engineering Division of the DNCC Zone-1 (Uttara Area) filed the GD with the Uttara West Poliec Stop under the Dhaka Metropolitan Law enforcement officials (DMP) on Saturday.
It was alleged in the GD that Highway Volumes 9/B, 13 and 34 at Sector 7 in Uttara under the DNCC's Ward No. 1 were dug without the agreement from the specialists concerned. A designated builder of the Dhaka Wasa is installing the underground water pipelines chopping and digging the highways. It deprives the DNCC of revenue earnings. Besides, movement of individuals and vehicles has been affected.
It had been learnt that the builder appointed under the Dhaka Normal water Resource Network Improvement Project of the Dhaka Wasa has been digging the streets.
Contacted, the task director Akhtaruzzaman said, "We live discussing the matter with the DNCC. Hopefully, we"ll have the ability to reach an amicable solution."
