Three AL upazila chairmen fail to get party nomination
Three existing upazila chairmen out of nine upazilas did not get the party AL nomination in Barishal.
The Ill-fated chairmen are Hafizur Rahman Iqbal of Wazirpur UZ, while A. Mazid Sikder Bachhu, Secretary UZ unit AL got the Party Nomination.
In Agailjhara, present UZ chairman Golam Mortuja did not get the party nomination. A. Rais Serniabad, President of UZ unit AL, got the party nomination.
Khalid Hossain Swapawn, present UZ chairman of Babuganj UZ did not get the party nomination, while AL UZ unit president Alhaj Kazi Imdadul Haque Dulal got the party nomination.
Out of the ten UZ elections, nine UZ will scheduled to be held on 31st March. Only election of Mehendiganj UZ will be held ten-months later, after expiry of the tenure.
The other Six UZ chairman candidates of AL are: All present UZ chairmen Saidur Rahman Rintu of Barishal Sadar UZ, Sayeda Manirun Nahar Mery of Gaurnadi UZ, Tariqul Islam Khan Mithu of Muladi UZ, Sultan Mahmud Tipu of Hizla UZ, Golam Faruk of Banaripara UZ and Samsul Alom Chunnu of Bakerganj UZ.
Barisla district unit AL president Abul Hassanath Abdulla and other leaders of district and UZ committee finalized the nomination of chairman and vice chairman male and female.
