Ducsu polls: Candidates’ age limit fixed at 30
The Dhaka University (DU) authorities on Tuesday fixed the age limit at 30 years for the candidates of DU Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) elections scheduled to be held on March.
Students who admitted into the university through entrance test and currently studying in Honours, Masters and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) courses can take part in the elections.
The decision was made at a syndicate meeting of the university held with vice-chancellor professor Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.
Law faculty Dean, also syndicate member, professor Rahmat Ullah said the syndicate decided to install the polling stations at all dormitories.
The syndicate body also decided that the evening programme students, affiliated college students could not participate in the election.
The syndicate meeting also fixed the code of conduct for the DUCSU election and brought some changes in DUCSU president power.
