Students should concentrate on research
National Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman on Wednesday said that University Students should concentrate on research from the graduation level.
He made the remarks while addressing the concluding and certificate giving ceremony of an eight-day research course organized by Center for Advanced Research in Arts and Social Sciences (CARAS) of Dhaka University (DU) on DU campus.
Congratulating the participants of the course, Anisuzzaman said, "There is no end to the research. Those who have participated in this research course, I think they have learned a lot. If you are successful, then we will be successful.”
Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism department of DU also Director of CARAS Dr. Sheikh Abdus Salam presided over the function and the course was coordinated by Kazi Samio Shears, a senior research fellow at CARAS which was conducted by Research fellow Touhidul Hasan Nitole.
The training course was held from November 25 to December 3 at its own auditorium adjacent to the university area, TSC. The renowned teachers and researchers of Dhaka University conducted the course.
18 students interested in MBA and PHD research and researchers from different universities of the country participated in this course.
The topics of the training course were research concepts, research instances, theories, literary review, data collection tools, quantitative and qualitative processes, mixed research methods, experimental research, action research, research policies and written research reports.
