Petrobangla official among 2 killed in bus-pajero collision
Two people, including a deputy general manager of Petrobangla, were killed in a road crash on Dhaka-Rajshahi highway in Salanga upazila of Sirajganj on Wednesday (September 25).
The deceased were identified as Shahidullah Bari, deputy general manager of GTCL Hattikumrul Branch and a resident of Jashore district and Anwar Hossain, driver of the Pajero and hailed from Sarkarpara village of Sirajganj Sadar.
Akhtaruzzaman, Officer-in-charge of Hattikumrul Highway Police Station told Banglanews that the accident took place around 2pm as a speedy bus collided head on with a Pajero Jeep carrying Shahidullah Bari, in Panchlia area, leaving its driver dead on the spot and injured two bus passengers and the Petrobangla official.
Injured Shahidullah Bari died on the way to Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital in Sirajganj.
