16 more dengue patients in Rajshahi, crash prog begins
Rajshahi district administration kicked off a 'crash program' to prevent dengue outbreak against which the country is struggling hard.
Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Nur-ur-Rahman launched the program of cleanliness and awareness among the locals, against the mosquito-borne viral fever.
However, in last 24 hours, 16 more dengue patients have been admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH), taking the number of infected 189.
Of them, 109 returned homes following recovery and the rests are getting treatment.
Condition of none of the patients is critical, RMCH Deputy Director Dr Saiful Islam Ferodus told Banglanews.
However, Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Hamidul Haque directed officials to continue the crash program consecutively in nine upazilas.
