Expat welfare gets new secy, Tariff Commission chairman
The government has promoted two additional secretaries to the post of secretary.
Director General of Manpower, Employment and Training Bureau (Additional Secretary) Md Selim Reza has been promoted to Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare & Overseas Employment.
Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner (Additional Secretary) Noor-ur-Rahman has been promoted to Secretary and appointed as chairman of Bangladesh Tariff Commission.
The Public Administration Ministry on Tuesday (September 24) issued a notification in this regard.
The notification stated that Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment, Rownaq Jahan and Tariff Commission Chairman Jyotirmoy Dutta were made officers of special duty (OSD) of the Ministry of Public Administration to facilitate their retirement.
Meanwhile, Jyotirmoy Dutta will go on Leave Preparatory to Retirement (LPR) on October 1.
