Minni's bail prayer rejected
A court in Barguna on Sunday rejected the bail petition of Ayesha Siddika Minni, main witness in sensational Rifat murder case and also Rifat's wife.
Barguna Judicial Magistrate Court Judge Md Sirajul Islam Gazi rejected the bail after hearing on the appeal.
Minni's lawyer Adv Mahbubul Alam Bari filed a bail petition this morning seeking bail.
In a petition he said, "Minni is sick. The statement, which she earlier given under the Section 164, has been taken forcefully."
Advocate Md Mahbubul Bari Aslam, Adv Golam Mostafa Quader, Adv Dipak Chandra Halder, Adv Abdullah Al Noman, Adv Shahida Begum, Adv Abdur Rashid and Adv Md Mizanur Rahman were present in the court on behalf of Minni.
On Friday, Minni confessed to her involvement in the murder of her husband Rifat Sharif before a Barguna court.
On June 26, Rifat Sharif, 22, was hacked to death by criminals in front of his wife Minni in broad daylight in the district town. The incident was caught on surveillance camera.
