Rifat murder: Three suspects put on remand
A court in Barguna on Friday granted remand against three suspected killers of Refat Sharif who was hacked to death in broad daylight in front of his wife in the district on Wednesday.
Seven days remand has been granted against ‘Hasan’ and ‘Chandan’, both named in a case filed over the murder.
The court also gave police three days to interrogate another suspect, Nazmul Hasan, Barguna Superintendent of Police Md Maruf Hossain said.
Earlier Wednesday, Rifat father filed a case naming 12 people and accusing unidentified 5/6 with Barguna Sadar Police Station.
Rifat Sharif, 22, was hacked to death by four miscreants in broad daylight in front of his newly married wife in Barguna district town on Wednesday morning.
The incident was captured in a surveillance camera which showed miscreants hitting Rifat indiscriminately while his wife was desperately trying to save him.
