Main ringleader detained over Renu murder
Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained one of the ringleaders-Hridoy involved in lynching of Taslima Begum Renu on suspicion of child abduction in Badda of the capital.
Confirming the matter to Banglanews, DMP’s Joint Commissioner Mahbub Alam said he was detained from Bhulta area of Narayanganj on Tuesday evening (July 23).
On secret information, a team of DB police of east division conducted the drive at Bhulta area. Now, Hridoy is under the custody of DB police.
Taslima Begum Renu, 40, went to a local school in North Badda of the capital on Saturday morning (July 20) to get information for admitting her daughter.
She was dragged away from the headmaster’s room on suspicion of a child abductor.
The deceased’s nephew Nasir Uddin filed a case with city’s Badda police station against some 400-500 persons.
