Missing female Ansar member’s body recovered
The body of the female Ansar member, who went missing after a trawler capsized in the Meghna River with 19 election officials during a storm at Char Hogla in Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj district on Sunday evening, was recovered from Ismanirchar area in the river on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rita Akhter, 35.

A team of coast guard retrieved the body in the morning, said sub Lt M MAtik, station commander of Coast Guard Pagla, UNB reports.

Presiding Officer Burhan Uddin, 38, official of UCB Bank, and Md Selim, 40, assistant town sub-inspector of Narayanganj Traffic Police, are still missing, said the Coast Guard official.

The trawler, carrying the 19 people and election materials for the 4th phase of upazila elections and heading towards Sonargaon upazila from Char Kishorganj, sank in the river around 6 pm during storm.
