9 of a family burnt in N'ganj fire
Nine members of a family sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out their house at Fatullah in Narayanganj on Wednesday morning.
Victim Barman said he woke up hearing the ring tone of a mobile around 5am. When he switched on the light, suddenly, the fire broke out in the room and it soon engulfed the entire house, leaving all the family members who were sleeping, including him, sustained burn injuries.
Local people rushed wounded Shreenagar Nath Chandra Barman, 35, his wife Moti Archona, 32, their children Anamika and Arpita, Barman's mother Chhaya Rani, 60, his sister Sumitra, Sumitra's sons Promit, 14, and Shawan, 10, her husband Narayan Chandra to the burn unit of Dhaka Medicle College Hospital.
The reason behind the fire could not be known yet.
DMCH police outpost in-charge Bachchu Miah confirmed the news.
