Lokman Bhuiyan on 2-day remand in drugs case
A Dhaka court has granted police two days to grill in custody Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan, Director In charge of Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, in the drugs case.

Metropolitan Magistrate Saifuzzaman Anseri passed the remand order after hearing Gulshan plea filed by police to quiz him in the case on Friday (Sep 27).

After primary quizzing, RAB handed Lokman to Tejgaon police station around 6:15pm after showing him arrest in a case filed under narcotics control act. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Tejgaon Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anisur Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Rab said Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan has made crores of taka from the casino business. Of these, RAB has received information on depositing Tk 41 crore in two Australian banks.

RAB-2's commanding officer (CO) Lt. Colonel Ashiq Billah said this at a press conference on Thursday (Sep 26) after primary interrogation to him.

RAB arrested Lokman, also the Director of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), from the house of Manipuri Para in Tejgaon on Wednesday (September 25). 

During this time, a large number of illegal and unapproved alcohols were recovered from his residence.
