Khoka's body reaches Dhaka
The body of former mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation Sadeque Hossain Khoka reached Dhaka on Thursday morning.
A flight, carrying the body, reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at about 8:20am.
BNP joint secretary general Habibun Nabi Khan Sohel, standing committee members Mirza Abbas and Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku received the body at the airport on behalf of the party.
Later, the BNP vice chairman's body will be taken to South Plaza of Parliament Complex for the first namaz-e-janaza which will be held around 11am.
After the janaza, his body will be kept on Central Shaheed Minar premises from 12 noon to 1pm to facilitate people to pay their last respect to him.
Khoka's second janaza will be held in front of BNP Nayapaltan central office after Zohr prayers, while the third one will be at Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) premises around 3pm.
Later, the body will be taken to Khoka's Gopibag residence.
The BNP vice chairman breathed his last at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, New York at about 1:50pm Bangladesh time (BST) on November 4.
He has been undergoing treatment at the hospital since October 18 as infections developed in his mouth.
