My father in critical condition but still alive, says Khoka's son
Former mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation Sadeque Hossain Khoka is in critical condition at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, New York.
"My father is undergoing treatment at the hospital for the last 10 days. His condition is now very critical but is still alive," Khoka's son Ishrak Hossain said this through a video clip sent from New York.
He also said the death news of his father is not true, it is a rumour only.
It is not possible for the family of Sadeque Hossain, also BNP vice-chairman, to take him Bangladesh as they have no passports.
The former minister has been suffering from cancer for last few years. He left the country for New York on May 14, 2014 for treatment.
