DNCC holds assembly for smooth delivery of Covid-19 vaccines
Dhaka North City Company (DNCC) on Sunday held a coordination appointment for simple distribution of coronavirus vaccines in its areas.

DNCC mayor Md Atiqul Islam presided above the meeting placed at the DNCC's Nagar Bhaban on the capital.

It was stated at the appointment that Covid-19 vaccination has recently started in developed countries. The initial shipment of vaccine from the Serum Institute of India will get to Bangladesh by the end of the January or the primary week of February. Some 1.5 crore persons would be brought beneath the vaccination programme. In the first phase, three crore doses of vaccine should come to the united states, while six crore doses will arrive by the center of the year. Then even more three crore persons will be brought under the vaccination campaigns. A significant number of folks will be brought beneath the vaccination campaigns before the end of the existing year.

Speaking at the meeting, the DNCC mayor Atiqul Islam laid focus on spending necessary preparations to bring highest number of men and women under the vaccination program and ensure maximum usage of the vaccine in DNCC areas. 

He suggested to provide priority to health personnel involved in working with the Covid-19 pandemic, front-ranking workers, persons who've less immunity, elderly people, and people who have been experiencing various illnesses for years. 

Besides, necessary steps have to be taken up to maintain law and purchase at the vaccination centres. 

The coordination meeting was attended by DNCC ceo Md Selim Reza, chief health officer Brigadier Standard Md Jobaidur Rahman, director of the Directorate of Health and wellbeing Md Belal Hossain, Dhaka's civil surgeon Moinul Islam, Brac and Dhaka Ahsania Mission's representatives, additional divisional commissioner of Dhaka AKM Masuduzzaman, councilor Md Mofizur Rahman of Ward No. 19, council Syed Hasan Noor Islam Raston of Ward No. 32, councilor of Ward No. 44 and DNCC's health related position committee president Md Matin.
