Bangladesh achieves competency as a growing country: PM
Primary Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that Bangladesh has received last recommendation of US for the transition from a good least developed region to a developing country.
She said, “We've achieved full competency to be a developing country.”
Joining a press meeting virtually from her official residence Ganabhaban, she built the remark in Saturday.
The PM said: “I’m dedicating the achievement to the new generation of the united states, which will advance Bangladesh further, so that it is a developed and prosperous nation in the future.
“Today’s achievement of graduating as a growing nation from the LDC status may be the outcome of our tireless work, labour and plans for days gone by 12 years. The persons have done it all. We’ve simply created the scope (to make it happen) through policies and support,” she as well said.
Regarding to Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh today has dramatically changed via when the Awami Group came to power in 2009 2009.
The UN committee also built suggestions on the country's appeal to increase the ultimate terminal period to 2026 from 2024.
The united states has met, for the second time, all the three eligibility standards for LDC graduation involving income per capita, human assets, and economic and environmental vulnerability.

Bangladesh's per capita GNI was $1,827, HAI 75.3, and EVI was 25.2 in 2020.
Bangladesh has been on the UN set of LDCs since 1975.
