Bangladesh, Maldives may introduce sea cruise found in winter: PM
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said sea cruise services could be introduced between Bangladesh and the Maldives through the winter season.

The premier said this as the Large Commissioner of the Maldives to Bangladesh Shiruzimath Sameer paid a courtesy ask her at her official Ganabhaban residence in the capital, reports BSS.

PM's Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Jahid Tusher briefed the mass media after the meeting.

The Primary Minister also stressed the necessity for exchanging experience and assistance between the two friendly countries in collecting fisheries in the deep sea.

In response to the problem, the High Commissioner said a memorandum of understanding (MoU) may be signed through the visit of her country’s president to Bangladesh on the occasion of celebrating the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence.

Sheikh Hasina urged the Bangladeshi nationals surviving in the Maldives to take the Covid-19 vaccine.

To the end, the Large Commissioner said her region has recently started vaccination of the labourers employed in the Maldives because they have been performing a significant purpose in the socio-economic progression of the country.

Shiruzimath Sameer informed Sheikh Hasina that pupils of the Maldives have already been pursuing medical sciences in Dhaka, Chattogram and different places.

The Prime Minister said her government is giving vaccines to the teachers first and they'll vaccinate the students.

Mentioning that her federal government has generated engineering universities and schools, medical college, aviation university, maritime university in Bangladesh, she urged Maldivian pupils to come quickly to Bangladesh in good sized quantities for study purpose.

The Primary Minister called after the businessmen of the Maldives to make investment in agriculture and agricultural goods, household leather and household leather goods, ceramic, medicine and it sectors alongside fisheries.

The Superior Commissioner of the Maldives has expressed her country's keen interest to improve trade and commerce with Bangladesh. She's sought purchase from Bangladesh in a new metropolis being built at Man Island.

Briefly spelling away the achievements in agriculture, Sheikh Hasina said that the agricultural development in Bangladesh has been increasing day by day.

Even though, Bangladesh must import foods since it must distribute huge foods and face several flooding through the Coronavirus pandemic, she added.

The Superior Commissioner of the Maldives highly praised the Primary Minister on her behalf visionary leadership alongside her function and initiatives in facing the situation arising out of the coronavirus.

The Primary Minister said that the complete world has been suffering from the coronavirus pandemic while her government has tried its better to face it.

Shiruzimath Sameer expressed her gratitude on behalf of her country while Bangladesh has given donations to the Maldives in a very difficult time.

The Great Commissioner described their location of Rohingyas to Bhashan Char as an excellent gesture.

In this connection, the Premier said that Rohingyas have been surviving in Cox's Bazaar in a very inhuman condition as the forest and environment of the area has been destroyed immensely.

"We've arranged better and modern lodging for the Rohingyas at Bhashan Char. We will establish the complete area," she continued.

Prime Minister's Office Secretary Md. Tofazzel Hossain Miah and Military Secretary to the Prime Minister Major Standard Naquib Ahmed Chowdhury had been present.
