3 siblings burnt alive in sleep
Three siblings were killed in sleep while a fire broke out their house in Harbang under Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar early time of Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Md Jihad, 11, his younger sisters Fouzia Jannat Mim, 9, and Afia Jnnat Mitu, 7.
The fire originated at Jaker Hossain Mistri's residence at early time and immediately spread the other rooms. Elderly individuals manage to went out from the house except the three kids as they were sleeping, stated Harbang Union's former chairman Jahir Uddin Ahmed Babar.
Chakaria Fire Assistance and Civil Defence Station officer Saiful Hasan said the fire may have originated from an electric brief circuit. The fire fighting models doused the blaze after 1 hour of frantic efforts.
They, after, recovered the three charred bodies.
