2 small boys among 3 killed in Cox's Bazar gas cylinder blast
Three people, including two minor boys, were killed and 10 others injured as a cylinder of hydrogen gas, used for inflating balloons, exploded at Matarbari in Moheshkhali upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as- Balloon vendor Mohammad Alamgir, 38, Mohammad Ehsan, 12, son of Md Jahangir from Dakkhin Miyazipara of Matarbari, and Ershadur Rahman, 10, son of Azizul Rahman from Balirpara area of Matarbari.
Moheshkhali police station Officer-in-Fee (OC) Abdul Hai told Banglanews: "The explosion occurred found on Azizia Kasemul Ulum Madrasa premises at Matarbari’s Nuton Bazar spot when a balloon vendor filling balloons with gas, departing the Ehsan dead at that moment and 10 others injured.
Soon after, injured Ershadul and the balloon vendor Alamgir died while getting taken up to Chattogram Medical College Medical center (CMCH) from Chakaria upazila well being complex, he said.
A number of the injured folks are in critical condition and have been referred to CMCH, the OC added.
