Why not separate center for public exam: HC
The High Court (HC) on Sunday issued a rule asking why direction should not be given to construct separate exam centers for public examinations in district and upazila.
The bench of justices F R M Nazmul Ahsan and K M Kamrul Quader issued the rule after a primary hearing on a public interest litigation.
Education secretary, public works secretary, exam controllers and other concerned have been made respondents in the rule.
Assistant Attorney General Mohammad Saiful Alam stood for prosecution in the hearing while lawyer Sarder Zakir Hossain for writ petitioner.
Sarder Zakir told the reporters that the educational institutions in district and upazila often remain closed in the whole year due to PEC, JSC, SSC, HSC, Degree and other public exams as well as recruitment tests that affects students. That is why the writ was lodged.
