Village police to acquire 4th class status: Minister
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Sunday said the federal government has taken a great initiative to supply 4th class worker status to the 46,000 village police users across the country.
"Discussion will come to be held with the Financing Minister in this respect," he stated while distributing bicycles among 102 village police participants at Singra upazila courtroom premises found in Natore district.
He as well urged the village law enforcement to execute their duties carefully.
Singra Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nasrin Banu and officials concerned of area administration were present at the programme.
The state minister also distributed sewing machines among destitute women and wheelchairs among the physically challenged people.
