Two die of dengue in Mymensingh, Khulna
Two people died after being diagnosed with dengue in Mymensingh and Khulna on Wednesday (Aug 28).

In Mymensingh, Hafizul Islam, 34, a readymade garment worker from Darirampur village under Trishal upazila, died on the way to Dhaka from Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in the morning.

According to family of the deceased, Hafizul had been suffering from dengue fever for one and a half month. He returned home after receiving treatment before Eid.

Hafizul was again taken to MMCH on Tuesday night as his physical condition deteriorated, they added.

Doctors at the emergency suggested shifting him to DMCH for better treatment. But he died while being taken to Dhaka early Wednesday.

MMCH deputy director Dr ABM Shamsuzzaman, while talking to Banglanews, could not confirm the death of the dengue patient.

In Khulna, Shahida Begum, 50, wife of Saidur Rahman of Pirojpur, died of dengue fever at Khulna Medical College Hospital around 5:30am.

Dr Soilendranath Biswas, resident physician of the hospital, confirmed the matter to Banglanews. 

Shahida, wife of Saidur Rahman, hailed Posharibunia village of Vandaria upazilla was admitted to the hospital at 7:45pm on Tuesday (Aug 27), he added.
