Truck-pickup collision kills 3 in Mymensingh
Three persons were killed as a goods laden truck rammed a fish laden pickup van on Mymensingh-Dhaka Highway in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh early Monday (July 1).
The accident happened in Meherabari area around 5am.
One of the deceased was identified as Taher Mia, a fish trader from Netrokona district. Two others couldn't be identified immediately.
Bhaluka Bhoradoba Highway Police Outpost In-Charge Abdus Salam told Banglanews that a Dhaka-bound truck hit the pickup van from behind, leaving the pickup van's driver, helper and a fish trader killed on the spot.
The bodies were taken to the police outpost.
The bodies will be sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) morgue for autopsies, added Abdus Salam.
