‘Drug dealer’ killed in Mymensingh ‘gunfight’
A suspected drug dealer was killed in a reported gunfight with police at Harua in Ishwarganj upazila early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Mostafa Hossain, 30, a resident of Khuliati village. Police said he was accused in four cases.

Shah Kamal Akand, officer-in-charge of police's Detective Branch, said that a joint team of DB and Ishwarganj police conducted a drive around 12:45am acting on a tip-off.

'Drug dealers' hurled brick chips and fired at the team as soon as it reached the spot, triggering a gunfight, he claimed.

 After the skirmish, police found Mostafa at the spot with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
 
Police recovered 200g heroin, 100 Yaba tablets and bullet shells from the spot.
