Transport strike cripples 4 northern districts
Transport workers of four northern districts have halted bus services with other parts of the country from Thursday (April 25) protesting the murder of a driver of Shyamali Paribahan to in Chattogram.

Road communications of Thakurgaon, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Panchagarh remain suspended as transport workers of Panchagarh enforced an indefinite strike since 6:00am.

Protesting beaten the driver to death allegedly by members of Detective Branch of Police in Shikalbaha bridge area of Chattogram on Monday (April 22) night, transport workers union on Wednesday jointly called the strike from 6:00am today, Mosharaf Hossian, president of Panchagarh Motor Sramik Union, told Banglanews.

Hundreds of passengers of those districts have been suffering much following the strike, locals said.
