Sirajganj's Hatikumrul Highway OC withdrawn after 3 deaths in accident
Sirajganj's Hatikumrul Highway Police Station's officer-in-charge (OC) Khairul Islam was withdrawn on Wednesday morning following a death of three people on the highway because of reckless driving.

He was withdrawn because of negligence in duty following rise of accident related deaths and reckless driving of vehicles on the highways which were declared against the law by High Court.

The OC was mounted on the Bogra regional office of Highway Police on Wednesday morning.

Nurunnabi Prodhan has joined at new OC at the Hatikumrul Highway Police Station in the afternoon. He was posted at Tentulia Highway Police Station in Panchagarh district.

Highway Police Super Md Shahidullah of Bogura Regional Office, confirmed the problem. He said Sirajganj's Hatikumrul Highway Police Station's OC Khairul Islam was withdrawn for administrative reasons and the brand new OC joined there on Wednesday afternoon.

It may be recalled that a CNG-driven three-wheeler that was plying illegally collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound bus 'Sarkar Travellers' at Sarishakol under Shahjadpur upazila of Bogura-Nagarbari highway on Tuesday evening, leaving three of a family dead on the spot. Subsequently, the Hatikumrul Highway Police Station's OC Khairul Islam was withdrawn in connection with the incident.
