Shahabuddin hospital MD held
Members of Rapid Actions Battalion (RAB) arrested Faisal Al Islam, the managing director of Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital, on Monday night over COVID-19 testing scam.
He was nabbed from a good hotel found in Dhaka's Banani area around 11:51pm, RAB's legal and media wing confirmed.
Faisal may be the elder son of its chairman Md Shahabuddin.
RAB filed a case again Faisal and two other staff of the hospital the same evening after getting various irregularities during a raid at a healthcare facility.
On Sunday, the elite force members sealed off Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital at Gulshan in the location after detecting unauthorised testing of COVID-19 and issuing forged test outcomes.
