Sabre announces Sandeep Shastri to lead Travel Network Business in South Asia

Sabre Corporation - the leading technology provider to the global travel industry, has announced the appointment of Sandeep Shastri as the new regional director, South Asia, within the Travel Network team in Asia Pacific (APAC).

In this role, Shastri will lead Sabre’s Travel Network business in South Asia with responsibility for its sales performance, customer engagement and overall growth across the region. A key player in the region’s travel industry, Shastri brings more than 15 years of career experience in the travel and financial services sectors. Developing his expertise among respected organizations such as American Express, Standard Chartered, and Egencia, an Expedia company, where he held the position of Managing Director, and was responsible for the rapid development and implementation of strategies that transformed the organization on an operational scale.

More recently, Shastri worked with Qantas Airways, based out of their headquarters in Mascot, Sydney, as Senior National Agency Manager – Key Partnerships, from 2016 to 2018. Leading the Online Travel Agency strategy for the Qantas Group, he helped the airline establish direct commercial partnerships with Online Agencies and improved the customer experience for the rapidly growing segment of travellers using this distribution channel.
