Road accidents claim 2 lives in Ctg
Two persons have been killed in Sitakunda and Satkania upazilas of the district on Monday (January 13).

One of the two deceased, named as Md. Habel, was crushed under a truck while he was working in the back at around 5 am. The accident occurred at a filing station in Barobkundo area under Sitakunda upazila, which is located on Dhaka-Chattogram highway.

He was taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH), but was pronounced dead, local source said.

Habel, aged 24, son of Iddris Ali, was a resident a Rupshanti village under Dhanbari upazila of Tangail, CMCH police outpost in-charge ASI Alauddin Talukder told Banglanews.

Meanwhile, a Rohingya national died after falling off a vehicle at Keranihat area under Satkania upazila, which is also located on Dhaka-Chattogram highway.

The victim was--- identified as Nurul Amin, 35, son of Abdul Gafur—a resident of Jamtoli camp. He was declared dead at CMCH at around 1 am, ASI Alauddin Talukder also told Banglanews.
