Riva Ganguli to replace Shringla as Indian envoy to Dhaka
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla is expected to be replaced by Riva Ganguli Das.
Shringla is likely to be India’s next ambassador to the United States, reports Indian English daily Times of India on Wednesday (Sep 12).
According to report, Indian government has reshuffled major diplomatic posts to other countries recently. International Cultural Relations Council Director General Riva Ganguly Das has been appointed in Dhaka while Shringla has transferred to Washington.
Shringla was appointed as Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka in January 2016. Earlier Pankaj Saran, who is now appointed in Russia, was the Indian ambassador here.
