Woman’s decomposed body found at Dhaka residence
Police recovered the decomposed body of a woman from her residence in Mohammadpur area of the capital city Wednesday (September 5) night.
The deceased was identified as Morsheda Jahan, 22.
In the evening, locals informed police after smelling bad odor coming from the house.
Police went to the spot around 8pm. They had to break the door, to enter inside the flat on seventh floor of the seven-storey building at road no.6 of Mohammadia Housing.
The woman was found hanged and decomposed.
Mohammadpur Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mukul Ranjan confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
The deceased’s husband Sajib Mia, who lived with her, went into hiding.
Efforts are on to nab Sajib, the SI said.
However, the body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, for an autopsy.
How Morsheda died will be known once the autopsy is done, added the SI.
