Probe body formed over CoU entry test incident
A three-member probe committee has been formed over the incident of getting name of an examinee who did not took part in Cumilla University (CoU) 'B Unit' admission test.
The university registrar Professor Md Abu Taher confirmed the matter on Saturday.
He said the committee, led by Chemistry Department prof Mohammad Saidur Rrahman (convenor), Physics Department assistant prof Sajal Chandra Majumder (member) and Finance and Banking Department assistant prof Md Emdadul Haque (member secretary) has been asked to submit report within three working days which will end on Tuesday.
"The admission test proceedings of 'B Unit' will be suspended till then. The next step will be taken after getting the report," Abu Taher said.
Examinee named Sazzatul Islam was found in the merit list of admission test result of 'B unit' published on November 12, who was shown absent in an attendance sheet of the test for the session 2019-20.
The admission test was held on November 8.
