Newborn among 2 found dead in Dhaka
Police recovered two bodies including a newborn baby in the capital on Wednesday (August 29).

A 7-year old child-identified as Rifat, son of Nur Alam, from Geneva Camp of city’s Mohamadpur area-was found in Chandrima Uddan while a newborn, aged about 1 day, was found in front of National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR).

“Rifat went along with his two friends to bathe in the lake of Chandrima Uddan. Though his two friends could get out of water, but he could not. Later, body was recovered, GG Biswas, officer-in-charge of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police station, told Banglanews.

Meanwhile, the newborn was taken out of a dustbin installed on the street of NITOR. Newborn’s body is believed to be dumped into dustbin by someone. Two bodies were sent to morgue of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital, the OC added.
