Dhaka buses to be beautified by Sep 30
The government has directed owners in city to beautify their buses with a paint job by September 30.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said it to reporters after a Road Transport Advisory Council meeting in secretariat on Monday afternoon (August 27).
In the meeting, decision has been made to enforce traffic law including the ban of battery-run auto-rickshaw and other locally made three-wheelers on highways.
Shipping Minister and executive president of the Bangladesh Road Transport Workers’ Federation Shahjahan Khan, President of Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association and State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Mashiur Rahman Ranga, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor Sayeed Khokon and senior law enforcing officials were also present at the meeting.
