Music director Farid Ahmed taken in ICU
Farid Ahmed was taken up to the ICU of Square Medical center from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Medical center (BSMMU) in the first hours of Saturday nights. The news headlines has been verified by Farida Farhana, a lyricist near Farid Ahmed.
Farhana told the mass media, "Sir's condition features been deteriorating since Saturday morning. The demand for oxygen was steadily raising from 15 liters. Doctors have advised to take him to ICU promptly. But we could certainly not find ICU vacant in any hospital in the town. After trying all day, we finally maintained it at Square Medical center around night. Nowadays, it's a lttle bit of a alleviation. I seek pray for sir. '
Earlier, within the last week of March, Farid Ahmed received Covid-19 positive results together with his wife. The music director was admitted to BSMMU Medical center in the administrative centre on the night time of March 25 after his condition deteriorated. Meanwhile, his wife Shiuli Akter's condition is good but Farid Ahmed's hasn't improved much. After 16 days and nights in a row, on April 10, there is even more deterioration. Citing the physician, his wife Shiuli Akhter stated that 80 percent of Farid Ahmed's lungs had been contaminated by corona virus. Diabetes-related issues have been linked to the infection.
